Yay another deviation, finally! Even though it's nothing serious and also it's fan art (I am one of those people who try to avoid putting fan art on dA) but hey I like it, so cool.
TAVROS AND VRISKA FROM HOMESTUCK YOU GAIZ
I have a secret to share in showing this, though. Even though it's not a secret. I just don't like talking about ships too much.
BUT. YOU GUYS.
TAVROS/VRISKA IS MY FAVORITE SHIP.
I have seen people call this a crack ship before whilst worshiping their sollux <3 roxy or some crap but I pay no mind to them. This is my favorite pairing for the sheer complications and conflicts, as well as the potential to be a REALLY AWESOME couple when they get their crap straight.
I could honestly write an essay on why this couple is my favorite, but I'll shorten up my reason for drawing this in terms of inspiration from the recent walkaround flashes. From finding out that (SPOILERS AHEAD) Jade and Davesprite were a thing and Terezi and Dave were a thing (END SPOILERS), I realized that Vriska and Tavros have been stuck together for a while. So I can only hope that they learned to get along (I'm sure they pissed each other off numerous times in the beginning. Mostly Vriska, though.) and even became a COUPLE. But I'll be okay if they're not. Just them resolving their issues ultimately (even though Vriska did apologize, both she and Tavros still have a lot of growing to do.) is awesome and it makes me excited to see how they're doing.
Also every once in a while I start missing Tavros so I start drawing him again. xD
WELP! About the drawing, I wasn't really going for anything story accurate in the background so it's not an exact land or anything. I used markers for their shirt symbols and Vriska's lips, but it accidentally bled out on the bottom lip and I'm too lazy to photoshop that, so please deal with it. xD
P.S. I did not use references, either.
Either way, I had fun with this, and this was a nice doodle. I REALLY hope I can get to drawing more serious stuff though.
